Public consultation announced (press release)

4th January 2023
Public consultation announced (press release)

UK-based company MVV Environment Ltd is looking to bring its expertise in sustainable waste management and renewable energy generation to the Canford Resource Park. This site is an active waste management site, including a closed landfill and waste processing facilities, located off Magna Road within the unitary authority of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council. The proposed development is a 260,000 tonne per annum Energy from Waste Combined Heat and Power (EfW CHP) facility that will be Carbon Capture Retrofit Ready (CCRR).

MVV recognise the importance of local people and knowledge to any new project and have arranged pre-application public consultation events next week, on Thursday 12th, Friday 13th and Saturday 14th January 2023. These will be held at The Hamworthy Club, Canford Magna, and Bearwood Community Centre, Bearwood; MVV staff will be available to answer questions and explain more about the project.

Paul Carey, Managing Director, said “An important part of the planning process is to consult the local community, and this is the first opportunity for local people to have their say. MVV takes consultation very seriously and we actively encourage two-way dialogue at all stages of the planning process.”

MVV would like to invite anyone wishing to find out more about the project to attend a consultation event; there is no need to book in advance and the venues will be manned as follows:
